Yes, I would have to agree. Sorry, it looks nice but is harder to read and more confusing. Maybe I'm just used to the old one though.

It is a little different, but I can read it either way to me this way is easier less eye strain for me, but I work on a computer day and night and I prefer the darker tint screens, but that's just me and most people that I know prefer bright screens.

The problem is, it was broke. We have been having several issues with the forums and things not working properly so today we did a fresh install. This style is only temporary, it was just a quick solution to use until we get another style up. The new style should be up later today.

I thought the colors worked pretty well (besides the blue)

thats fair enough, LIGHTNING. no disrespect was meant at all for whatever changes are implemented, its just my initial reaction was that its tough for me to read whats on the screen and perhaps others drifting about that are new to this stuff might be put off by the layout.

and i speak for everyone when i write that we appreciate the work you and the crew do to maintain, enhance, and advance the [words=http://www.mattersofsize.com/join-now.html]MoS[/words] site.

My first impression was "noooo". But, when considering the problems on the last version and the scenario that they were unable to fix them any other way I do welcome the change. But, I also welcome, no - encourage, a change in colors. There is something about this color scheme, beyond reading issues, that is unnerving. I could expound, but the bottom line is I think we should just try out different schemes for a while and have a sticky thread to vote on the favorite schemes.

Now this forum reminds me of the Pride Penis one. Also, dial-up users are going to really notice the difference. I liked the original one better.

20 years ago I had a computer which used a dark blue background and a bright sunflower yellow for the text. I remeber this as very good readable. Don't know how it works for colorblind people, though. B/W would be best for them, I suppose.

i don't think the colors are that bad..it will get some use to not seeing the site how it was set up for the longest time..but maybe it is time for a change..as long as the level of info on the site doesn't...we shouldn't have any problems..the main focus is getting all the functions to work on the site...and to get rid of all these sorry ass spammers!!!?

It needs some sort of style sheet or something to differentitate between threads, eg one topic grey next one white and so on.

I like it, but the default greyish text to not quite bright enough, hence my tendency to switch it to yellow.

For those complaining about the new look, perhaps the contrast on your monitor is not set properly. You might want to check into that.

Another point is that in Graphic Design we like to use white letters on a dark backgrounds because the human eye will remember it seven minutes longer than black on white. That is a great tip for salespeople.
