How To Convert Downloaded vids to DVD format????

HELP! I'm trying to find a program that I can download that has the registration code with it...a working one...that I can use to convert downloaded Real Player and Windows Media videos into [words=http://www.mattersofsize.com/mosdvd.htm]DVD[/words] format to put on [words=http://www.mattersofsize.com/mosdvd.htm]DVD[/words].

Oh blah. Anyway, I think I found a program. It's called WinAVI Converter. I'm converting the movies now, and I'll report back later. If it gets them to the point where I can put them on [words=http://www.mattersofsize.com/mosdvd.htm]DVD[/words], I will definitely buy this program.

I think it's a really great idea. I downloaded the files free. Paid for the DVDs to put them on, probably buying the program that does the converting. The DVDs will only be for my personal collection and not intended for re-sale. LOL.

Ok, so I got the files converted...now I just need an external [words=http://www.mattersofsize.com/mosdvd.htm]DVD[/words] burner. My [words=http://www.mattersofsize.com/mosdvd.htm]DVD[/words] drive on this laptop only reads DVDs. Gotta love technology!

I dont get how downloading them, and putting them on a [words=http://www.mattersofsize.com/mosdvd.htm]DVD[/words] so I can watch them on my full screen TV is "ripping them off"? Enlighten us please.

If it's a movie that you'd see in the cinema, you don't have rights to view it without paying. If they're public domain, it may be a different story.
