Fasting for gains?

Question for you guys

Has anyone tried or heard of the benefits of fasting while trying to make gains? Water Fasting allows our body to heal itself quickly and effeciently since it's dedicating energy away from digesting food. To me it sounds good on paper but curious if there was any actual attempts on this. I plan on doing a 40 day water fast for health reasons, it will be interesting to see what happens.

In all seriousness I do have advice on this but it may not be the advice you want to hear as it is a religious offering. I fast everyday, I have fasted for the past 8 years. The reason I fast is because Saint Paul tells us when we fast our prayers have more poignancy, more power, more effective. So fasting and prayer do work if you believe. Don't only pray for your gains but pray for the rest pos the world. In this, I know you will make faster gains. But, fasting alone, without prayer will do little to change anything in PE.
