Creatine help.

Ive been taking Mega Creatine (Effervescent version with 5g of creatine) every time I lift for the past couple weeks. I just got a container of regular old creatine monohydrate in 5g doses to start taking tomorrow. I plan on re-loading, taking 4 5g doses a day for the first 5 days. After that I am going to just take I guess 5g a day, in the morning on non lifting days, and after working out on lifting days. (M-W-F)

Does it really matter all that much if I take my creatine say, mixed with a protein drink or anything? After I lift I like to down a big protein shake and I plan on putting the 5g of creatine in it, but some people say you need to take the creatine on an empty stomach etc. Any thoughts or help would be great.

Any of you guys that take creatine with your lifting too, I welcome your supplemental plan to help me along :)
 
actually it would matter....Keep them separate....if you combine with a protein drink, it is believed that the break down of the protein in the stomach would cause the creatine to degrade due to the digestive process....that's all I can say to the matter....

My idea has been to dump using protein shakes all together, and move to using BCAAs pre and post training, one is a beverage and the other is capsules...If I have it on hand I will take a protein shake about a half and hour to an hour after my workout just for added daily intake....It's a solid plan, and I've been on a break from it recently....I won't get back on it till after I move....but that's what I do....good luck
If you want to try some good creatine, try creatine select from beverly international....it's good stuff I used it back during the summer, and it's easy to use with 40 servings per container...made with creapure and phosphates....
