Do you just insulate yourself with cloth between you and the clamp. I'm guessing going commando is not that comfy.

NO, you dont want to "go commando"...or even use tape on the clamp. There's no need for wrapping the clamp with anything. Just do like I did in this demo pic thread:

The clamp 'can' on occassion picnh you where it tightens (you have to have a clamp for tha tto make sense) there are 2 aeas that can pich, but if you are careful you should be fine
