I remain optimistic that ONE DAY the laws may see some legitimate reform that will favor the responsible steroid user. There was a time after all when alcohol was illegal, and for over a decade. The laws, thanks to the "black market" only make getting steroids easier though. LOL, that's the real irony. Prohibition, and/or banning things never works. The people who want the 'contraband' will find a way to get it. Competition, and a desire on the sources' part to provide the best product at the best price ensures price wars.
The general rule of supply vs. demand is that when the perceived supply of something is down, demand goes way up. Also, when you make something "illegal", or put it in the "hands off" category, people get curious. Curiosity drives people to learn more. People who would otherwise never give steroids a second thought for example, now want to know what all the fuss is about. LOL. Silly lawmakers.
Something else. Steroids, the ones being discussed here anyway, are just hormones. A synthetic version with some "tweaks", of the male hormone testosterone. There are many versions of this hormone, because there are so many different ways to manipulate it to achieve different results. So many things that are LEGAL are much more dangerous. What we really need is a bunch of alcoholic sports figures to emerge. No wait, there's too much money in alcohol sales/taxes for the government to go there again.
