Betterman.com/forum - Question

Has anyone joined betterman.com forum. I noticed a thread posted there that announces to it's forum members to join the [words=http://www.mattersofsize.com/join-now.html]MOS[/words] forum. I found this site a few weeks back, joined. Since then I have a problem with this site. When I go there the site see's me log in, recognizes me as mowinman but, I still can only view files. Cannot post there nor even contact a moderator that there is a log in problem. Has anyone else had this problem? The reason I bring this up here is that when I joined here, I had the same type of problem here. I'm Not sure if it was with my computer or if it was something with the main server... DLD was able to remedy this after I contacted him through Thund3rs Pl@ce. At least I was able to contact someone. I know that I am not the only one that has had this type of problem, so I am suggesting that an alternate method be posted in an obvious place like the main page so that people can get a hold of someone to let them know you are experiencing log in problems. Maybe something like "If you are experiencing log in problems please contact doublelongdaddy@mattersofsize.com" It may help more people get on this site...

Strange, I just posted at betterman yesterday with no problems between the 2 forums. Start a thread in the main forum addressing this issue maybe we can straighten it out.

I am a member at betterman.com as well, however don't post as often as I'd like too.

If you're having a problem logging into one site, then the other try clearing your temporary internet files.

Often, I'll be logged into both sites at the same time with no problem. Most sites on the net are designed to work with Explore, 6.0 or higher.

If you're using Netscape, it should work. If you are using a modified browser, like an older AOL browser that could give you problems.

Thanks, already tried clearing cookies etc before. Have tried both IE and Netscape. Never got the email confirming or granting access. Still get the same message:

Yes it was up, able to read posts in all area's. Like I said I get the welcome back mowinman etc. It won't let me post responses, new posts, or even pm a moderator. I get the same message for whatever I try. Seems I have a read only access.

the same thing happened to me...I found out about pe through betterman so I signed up for the forum but same thing happened to me...I could not post or contact any mods...I could only read posts...so I came here to discuss pe with others...thing is...I sent out my first post last night and it has been read by others but no replies....not such a nice warm welcome that I see other newbies get...oh well

I'm glad to see I am not the only one having this problem. Btw welcome wannabebiggerkc. I'm sure that it is a case of Friday/Saturday night party and deer season.There is a wealth of information and lots of willing and able people here to assist you.... Give it a chance.

thank you mowinman...I appreciate it. Ya, I went to that site today and still could not post anything there. oh well, doesn't matter...I read certain information that could possibly benefit me and that's it! So, nope..you're not the only one that has happened to.

well mowinman, I went to that site once again the same thing happened. So, I cleared the cookies. Created another screen name. Had the activation link sent to a different e-mail address instead of AOL (because I never received it before). And now, everything is ok. I received the activation e-mail, clicked the link and just finished posting my second post over there.

So, you might wanna try the same thing if you wish to post there too.

That Betterman forum has fuckin' tumbleweeds blowin' through it. Totally useless when compared to this place.
