Australia scored 4-434 off of their 50 overs , a world record highest score at the time, to be beaten by south africa who ended up 9-438 to win off of the second to last ball of the game, and hence gaining the record themselves.

I personally continued watching this game after the aussie innings because i was waiting for the football to come on, but i was flabbergastered by what took place, i was expecting south africa to either make 100 all out or perhaps get close to 250.
This would have to go down as not only the best cricket game every played but close to the best sporting event ive ever witnessed.

That was a really amazing game. After all those runs I couldn't believe it was so close. Both teams played amazingly well. When Australia scored such a huge amount I thought it was all over but South Africa just kept hitting big. Insane.

I was watching the English rugby team getting a thrashing at the hands of the French at the same time. Not good.

The F1 was on the same day not to mention Man U vs Newcastle. Rooney. What can I say. And Arsenal vs Liverpool. Henry. What can I say.

Great day for sports fans. Loved it.
