AlfAlphie - Sleeping Patterns

They say that you should have 6-8 hours of sleep each night. Yet, I know plenty of people who get thru with much less.

Has anyone ever heard or done the Sleep Diet in which you only sleep on 2hrs a day, by taking 15min. naps each two hours. Supposedly, the "pain period" is for about a week. If you can get thru it, you'll be healthy and will be able to survive off of two hours of sleep.

I'm sure most people are too busy during the day to lie down and nap every 2 hours, I know I am. I am accustomed to sleeping anywhere from 8-10 hours daily.

Some people can function just fine on only a few hours of sleep while others insist that they need their "8 hours." If you aren't sleeping, but a few hours a night due to excessive amounts of stress then it's probably not so good. On the other hand it is different for everyone depending on what they are accustomed. That would be sweet if I could only sleep a few hours and function regularly, but who has a schedule that accommadates such a thing to be taking cat naps every few hours? I suppose only those who are retired, unemployed, and those soon to be unemployed who attempt to implement this sleep regimen into their lives can use this "Sleep Diet."

I still believe you are a child searching. But a child. Can´t you just get into visiting a library? Even online?

I really hate to burn you badly but if you don´t change your ways, it will happen Alfie.

The body learns to adapt to the amount of sleep you give it. I remember a while ago I had this brutal job that started at 5am until 3pm, I basically moved bricks the entire time. Of course, having to study for my exams and such and fit time for a girlfriend in there (not to mention Penis Enlargement!) I'd often go to bed at around 11-12pm.

Eventually, my body learned to survive on 5 hours sleep.

Then I thought "Fuck this, I like to sleep!" so I quit and got a job with more reasonable hours.

EDIT: Oh! Just had to add. My dad used to go to bed at 11-12pm and wake up at 4am every morning for the 2 hour commute to his office. He may have been a bit grumpy at times but he was healthy.
