A noob's question: How much exercise is too much?

Alright, so I'm looking to lose some weight and tack on some muscle. Right now I'm 215~220 and 6' 2" tall. It's mostly fat with a small amount of muscle, I'd give a ratio, but I really don't know how. According to the government I should weigh 169lbs, but I don't think that would be very realistic, but that's beside the point. Anyhow, what I was thinking about doing was the following:

30 minutes weights/30 minutes cardio three times a week
30 minutes DDR/1 hr yoga, pilates, tai chi or balance ball videos four times a week

I don't know if that's too much to build muscle, not enough to lose weight or what! My main goal is to lose weight, as I've got a lot to lose, and take on a bit of muscle and strength on the side.

I'd do cardio on days you don't do weights. Skip the yoga, etc, and don't think of DDR as exercise. If I were you, I'd want to stay at your current weight or a little more but add muscle and lose fat. 6'2'' and 180 is pretty skinny IMO. It's going to be hard to lose weight if you're putting on muscle too since muscle is more dense.

Just MHO though.

Yeah you probably just want to get to around 195-200 because im 6'3 180, and want to get to about 220 i was 190 and was still skinny then, so just try to burn the 15 lbs of fat and youll be surprised how you look.
