Issues with mityvac

Hello,

I’ve been using the bath mate for about 6 months now and enjoy using it. I pump at maximum pressure entering with a full erection. I gradually step it up during a session. I stay 1min in the bath mate at a time, then repeat at higher pressure until I reach the maximum expansion and pressure. I stop when I notice an Edema to develop. As the bath mate mainly increases girth I bought the mityvac with a cylinder only slightly bigger than my penis to also target length.

My experience is not great. I am careful but even with only 2-3inHg my penis feels really limp and numb afterwards. There is no pain. The expansion I’m getting at this vacuum is hardly noticeable especially in comparison to the bath mate. I pump only a few minutes and there is no post pump and I only have this numb feeling. With the bath mate I would just like to keep going after a session.
Am I a “non responder”? Am I doing something wrong?

It appears your current skin conditioning is not able to handle the higher pressures just yet. Since it's 6 months, I'm suspecting you're about -7inHg in pushing the pressure load. Maybe even higher. This is why it's hard to truly see where you are without a gauge.

Since you're switching to the MityVac, keep a very diligent log of your pressure. Pump slowly and creep up slowly. Don't go too high and too fast just yet.

If you're pumping with just -2inHg to -3inHg, that's not the correct pressure. Normally, the starting pressure is around -4inHg. Do make sure you have the right pressure.

But, before anything else, let's stop at the moment. When you say numb and really limp, provide us more info. Numb around which area? Limp, how? Something is very off. If you're pumping with a full erection, your internal pressure, at the lowest, starts at +3.5inHg and at the highest is around +5inHg. If you're pumping only -2 to -3inHg, that's barely a suction using your own mouth over a skin surface area.

If you're pumping for the past 6 months using the BathMate, what model are you using, and how many strokes are you pumping to vacate air/water out of the cylinder. Something is fishy or something is greatly missing in the statement.

It's not that you're "non-responder". There's something missing in the overall info.

I have the hydromax9 and pump in one minute increments starting at a slight pump (19cm) up to the BM fully compressed at a full pump reaching 21.5cm (bpel without pump is 17cm, with it is 18cm) - probably 10x1min until I reach the last stage (21.5cm). My penis feels full and there is a general good feeling.

After that I go into the mityvac with a full erection and a good pump. I fill out the cylinder. As explained, I want to mainly target length with the MV. I pump to -3inhg maximum as I want to be careful as I have read the pressure in an air pump is different than in the BM. When I stop, my penis does not feel pumped and it just feels numb and limp. Even with kegels I cannot get blood flow going. There is no pain at all, it just hangs down “dead”. I’m struggling to get an erection afterwards. Like I said, with the BM I feel full and can get hard even after pumping at maximum pressure (especially after maximum at pressure and a full pump tbh). I am air pumping with the mityvac.

Got it. HydroMax series, at normalized initial pressure is around -5inHg, and slow compression where the penis reaches 2.5cm longer mark (means the gaitor compression reduced by 2.5cm, is roughly around -7.5inHg, possibly -8inHg because of the increased headspace buffer. So, yes, you are way up there with pressure loading with the BM.

After that I go into the mityvac with a full erection and a good pump. I fill out the cylinder. As explained, I want to mainly target length with the MV. I pump to -3inhg maximum as I want to be careful as I have read the pressure in an air pump is different than in the BM. When I stop, my penis does not feel pumped and it just feels numb and limp. Compared to the BM initial point, the MV is very far behind on pressure loads. Compared to the BM max pressure load, the MV is completely way off. So, comparing pressure-to-pressure loading between the two units, there's a massive discrepancy. If you're using air in the BM, use air in the MV to compare at a higher pressure as well. If you're using water, do for both. Water is much better at preventing hotspots from pressure influences on the skin from developing.

Now, don't go up on the pressure too fast with the MV. For the MV, if you're using an insert for the HydroMax to obtain comforts, use a universal thick silicone pump donut to obtain the same. It's also a preventative of nerve compression under higher pressure at -8inHg and greater.

Ok, I’ll only use water with the MV from now on.

That's both correct and incorrect. For those who just started with the MV, they warn not to go above -5inHg to ease in and condition the penis first, in preventing the blister formation. When you use the MV, make sure to remain erected, as you pump. Slowly creep from -4inHg as a starting point, and slowly go up to -5inHg within 30 seconds, and creep even slower as you go from -5inHg towards -7inHg based on the BM. Slowly is the key.

STOP when you reach the feeling of internal expansion like you have with the BM. Stay there, for 30 seconds, then drop off by -1inHg for 30 seconds, and go back up again, then drop back down. Keep doing that so your tissues can get used to the different pressure. The BM pressurized cylinder is slightly different than the MV cylinder in terms of pressure differential.

The MV cylinder, not the pressure itself, it designed to have uniform pressure system. Think of the BM cylinder like an oblong pyramid, or better yet, a baseball bat. When you pump, the base gets larger, while glans remains small because of compression differential. The bottom expands much more than the top because there are two different pressures. As your penis expands, you get a baseball bat shape effects. If you're using it for length, you're not getting it. There is no "pull". You only get expansion.

The MV cylinder provides expansion first. If the cylinder is smaller, as our penis shaft touches and expands against the cylinder's wall, the penis now being "pulled" upwards. This is for length and not just girth expansion. The uniform rigid wall of the cylinder, the expansion provides a nice uniform penile expansion, preventing the penis from looking like a base ball bat. The long cylinder allows the higher headspace buffer to also expand your glans, creating a "mushroom" effect. This is where the true pleasure for females lies. The glans is what makes the initial stimulation pleasurable, and the internal strokes more sensitive for the female. It's not the shaft of the penis, unless her clit is being rubbed by the shaft.

Ok, so in summary:
Keep doing what I’m doing with the BM, start water pumping with MV at -4 and go up slowly to -5 and back down and back up again. With some more experience I can go up very slowly to -7. How long should I stay in the MV?
 
Just before we discuss about pumping, try to understand about the 5x5x3 routine. The 5x5x3 routine is now clickable. Read it, understand it, and ask questions about it. It's about a combination of pumping and slow squash jelqing. We eve have instructional videos about it. This helps to expand the tissue internally using both positive pressure through squeezing the blood volume into a high internal expansion, and using the pump to further expand the internal pressure chambers using negative pressure. In this community, we learn and practice smart PE practices, not the extreme. There are brothers who experiment with extreme PE routines because we're learning ways to break the barriers that slowed our growth processes down. Read about a few brothers here, such as @9.5inchpro, @Big Dick Energy, @JustGrow, and so many more. Some of us are reaching our hard plateaus, slowing our growth down, but we're looking for ways to break them by fine-tuning our exercises. This is pure discipline.

You got it. Since you've been pumping for so long already in the BM, you can even start at -5inHg. Slowly, ever so slowly, move up to -6inHg to test.

For example, slowly pump up to -5inHg, take your time of 1 full minute just to go from 0 to -5inHg. If you know that there's no pain, no hyper expansion, or any odd feeling of compression against the base of your penis because of the edge or lip of the cylinder where you insert your penis into, slowly go up to -5.5inHg within 30 seconds. Then drop down to -5inHg for 30 seconds, and then back up to -5.5inHg for 3 seconds. Just for a few days, stick between -5inHg and -6inHg to see how your penis is doing. Maximum time in the MV per pumping exercise is 5 minutes.

If nothing happens, follow the same 1 full minute pumping protocol, slowly going from 0 to -5.5inHg for the first minute, stay there for another minute to allow your tissues to adopt the new pressure, slowly creep u to -6.5inHg in the next full minute, drop down to -5.5inHg for 30 seconds, swing back up to -6.5inHg for 30 seconds, and keep repeating until you done the full 5-minute cycle. Do this for a couple of days.

Probably around the 5th or 6th day, do the same thing going from 0 to -5.5inHg, slowly go up to -6.5inHg, but on the 3rd minute, slowly creep up to -7inHg or even -7.5inHg. Repeat the same trend just like earlier.

Any time you're feeling overly expanded, or even a tingling feeling of over expansion, reduce the pressure by a full -1inHg or even -1.5inHg. That tingling sensation of over-expansion means your skin layers are suffering some kind of pressurized hotspot. That's an indicator of a possible blister. Stay at a lower pressure for another full two weeks before you even plan on going up to that previous pressure you feeling that tingling feeling, especially around the glans. Be safe and protect yourself.

Ok, this is my routine then
Stretches (all 3x30s)
- behind the cheeks: left right centre
- up: left right centre
- down: left right centre
- straight out: left right centre

5x5x3 with bath mate for full pump (so I fill out the Mityvac)
5min in Mityvac as described above carefully approaching -7inHg over a few weeks to counter “baseball bat shape” and a little bit off length

I think my initial problems were caused by my naivety in how powerful the device actually is. I pumped up to -11inHg just to try it and probably haven’t really recovered from it before posting here. When I get a “limp dick feeling” from stretching I just go into the BM for a min at low-pressure and that gets the sensation back. I know the BM is not the best device but for me it’s just a lot of fun and makes me feel good and I think that’s a good foundation to stay consistent.
 
That's a good starting foundation routine.

When you get a limp dick feeling, it means the entire penis went into distress. Yes, blood flow into the penis is important, but expansion stresses on top of the stretching stresses will cause the penis to go into further shocks, and will completely retract into the body for days. Just just warm heat, light 2-second hold kegels, and light jelqs to promote blood flow.
 
Just Remember to take your time getting up to high vac levels to fast ! the penis will still expand in a low vac environment and especially in a high pressure like the SSJ invented by our Brother @DLD !
Time and discipline will determine your overall outcome!
Try to carve out the time, sometimes it get hard to find the time but as long as you’re committed to the end goal good things will come.
