You can do jelqing for 20 minutes daily in combination with another 20 minutes of Slow Squash Jelq. Do 20 minutes each of both making a total of 40 minutes daily.
Because your gripping and putting pressure against the vein that runs along top of your penis and can cause problems and damage after time, think main reason my erections are so poor these days
I have never had any problems with Jelqing. But I did them a little diffrent when I was doing girthwork with Bathmate pumps. I did my Jelq's by pushing on the side of my penis using ok grip and Jelqing downward.

Are you talking about this grip?
This was practically what I did. But I used my tumb and forefinger to push on the sides off my penis. But I did downward Jelqing.
Note: I learned the Jelqing technique I was using from a guy with the username: GettingBigger9 (GB9) on a diffrent site. Before I joined MOS.

Ssj is good but I don't think is something for a newbie,I think it's an exercise for the well trained as again it's an exercise where you are forcing mass expansion,it easy to pop a vein like some have done before

I believe newbies can do SSJ's (Slow Squash Jelq's).
Just increase the intensity progressively, and not overdo it, and they should be okay.
