Vacuum bell filled with liquid
Posted Aug 28, 2022 at 11:04 AM
I went up in weight a little bit this week and iv noticed that after a long hang session.. the bell is filled with water in the empty space. I adjust the vacuum constantly if I feel it slipping, but it slowly fills. I thought it was urine, but its just water that gets sucked outa me like a sponge.

Does this mean I am hanging for too long? Or doing something else wrong?

I have read in a few places that long hang sessions are ok as long as you feel no pain. Usually, I hang for about an hour to hour and a half each day since its the only time I get. Besides seeing water I haven't seen anything else bad happening until today. Had a huge water-filled blister appear on the head.

Before attaching are you squeezing all blood from your head? This is usually why that happens too much blood forces fluid retention.

ah nope i dont squeeze anything from the head.. i just push it against the hole and use the bulb to suck it in.

If I squeezed the blood out, wouldn't it get sucked right back in when its pumped in?

I did read a long time ago on this forum that blokes had tried using bits of toilet paper inside the bell to absorb any moisture, can't remember how that panned out but it popped into my head.

I used to get condensation build up in the bell of the Phallosan Forte, it was an annoyance until I started using the full length Silicap2 sleeves & it stopped completely. Same with the SiliStretcher these days, having that long cap helps everything seal better too.

I'm pretty sure squeezing excess blood from the glans before attachment applies to compression type devices like the LengthMaster, Sizegenetics etc as opposed to vacuum devices.

Using suction a device and squeezing the blood out of the Glans prior to wearing it is useless. Squeezing the blood out the Glans only applies to compression devices as @VoorheesXIII mentioned.

Anytime you use suction devices on soft tissues you will experience swelling and fluid retention (edema); especially when wearing a suction device for hours. Options are: shorten the suction time or use surgical tape and cover the Glans or use a SiliCap to cover the Glans when wearing the Suction device for hours.

Silicap is the short blue sleeve with the pinhole in the tip right? I do use that and figure fluid just drips through the hole. Probably makes sense to just break the sessions up and squeeze\circulate in between.

Correct, the Silicap2 is just a longer version of the blue ones that came with the SiliStretcher.

I'm out of ideas I did just read this article after reading your response;

I use absolute water proof tape by nexcare on the glans from the bottom of the frenulum, actually a bit passed the frenulum, and then up to the top of the glans.
I take off a bit of the adhesive by putting the piece of tape on my palm then pulling it off a few times.

Then attach the silicap followed by the bell and rolling on if the sleeve.

Hope that helps.

My fluid retention was reduced when I started using vetwrap/sportswrap.

@kylesk, I'm experiencing what you describe: a large water-filled bubble at te l the tip of the glans, near the urethra. How did yours resolve? Did you pop it?
Thanks for sharing your experience; any additional details/info would be great (just looking to get an idea of what to expect; like is it going to pop by itself then scab and cause discomfort for days, or will the water dissipate/reabsorb gradually? Is it 'bad' to get an etection while the blister is there? Is it a good idea to pop it actively, on purpose?).

I would maybe massage a bit and press gently on it to try and bring down the fluid retention. It’s hard to say how the body will react. It may just heal on its own, but sometimes has a point of no return as you described which would pop, scab, and begin to heal.

Put some hydrocortisone or neosporin and massage and see if it heals up.

what caused the fluid retention?
