Well according to how it’s advertised the chamber should look like this (view picture attachment) it is fully covered, it even goes over the sides. That’s how I expected my LM to look like.
Looking at your pictures of the chamber as well as my pictures both are faulty. So there seems to be a problem with quality control for the padding of chambers?
So the answer to your question is probably yes, the faulty padding makes it more uncomfortable.
When clamping down most of the pinching, digging pain radiates from the two very sharp and hard corners that are exposed where the strap comes out but I also get some pain from the bottom and the side that are exposed - the common thread is that where there is no padding pinching/pain is felt.
I will of course share my findings once I get an answer from MOS support.
