Hey everyone,

I have been reading for a short time, tried a few things so far and had great flaccid results. I have been trying a little of everything to get a feel for it before I commit to a routine. My question is about fluid retention. I seem to retain a lot of fluid just below the glans after about 20 minutes with a girth workout.

Is this normal?
Should I stop when I see it?
Can I prevent it?

I was trying out the 3x3x5 (not full intensity). It feels great and has noticeable results I just want to avoid injury.

Thanks

Welcome to MOS. From what you have written, it seems you are not doing any manual girth exercises and that's why you are having fluid retention. Train like this:

5 minutes SSJ
5 minutes pumping

5 minutes SSJ
5 minutes pumping

5 minutes SSJ
5 minutes pumping

Don't you seek length gains as well? Which pump arre you using?

I offer Coaching service. I can be your personal PE coach.

Yes, if you do the SSJ in combination with pumping it will most definitely reduce the fluid retention.

If I pump 3 sets in a row without doing the SSJ(Slow SquashJelq) I get that much more fluid retention.

Though there will always be just a bit of fluid retention after pumping, no way around that, though as said do the SSJ’s as well and you diminish it till almost zero fluid retention.

All correct and on point

Thank you for the great replies.

I made a mistake in the original post. I have been following the SSJ/Pump for 5 minutes in 3 sets. Sorry😅. The fluid retention disappears without issue I just didn't want unnecessary injury.

So some fluid retention is normal and not avoidable?
I had seen one of the sleeves available helps reduce or removes this? The Durosleev I think.

My pump is a generic pump originally 'for fun'. Stretching is what I am planning to start and focus on. I had read girth first can make length gains harder. Should I be doing only length gain exercise or should I be doing length and girth gains simultaneously?

Many people succeed in training length and girth on the same day. But it's best to focus on length first before working on girth. That's what I did.

You don't need to wear any sleeve while pumping. As long as you are pumping correctly and doing SSJ up to 12 reps during your session, the fluid retention will be minimal.

Focus on length for now.

When you say 12 reps is that just 12 completed SSJ?
