for me it is always length before girth...i think that is why i try so hard for girth and not too concerned with length right now..girth seems like it takes a while for the smallest of gains..i might look thicker and feel thicker but the tape measurer doesn't budge too much..but length after a couple of weeks of training i can see the hang is different and it feels stretched.
For me length is a muthafucka to gain because I have very strong connective tissue. The key to gaining girth is learning how to get as much expansion as possible during a session. Although this may be only fluid build up if you keep repeating the process daily I find that girth comes a lot easier than length.
Length is easy as shit compared to girth. I think it is because it doesn't take as much time as a girth routine and I can just give it a tug for some length any time of the day. Girth, I really really have to work hard for.
I'm the opposite. With clamping and manual exercises girth comes easier than with length. I do all the stretches hard and consistent and no gains yet. I will keep trying though.
