What is the deal with liverwurst?

I realized a revelation today, by my son, that liverwurst is "actually" made from liver. Liverwurst was one of my favorites up until today. I guess I should have known that liverwurst contains liver. I think my ignorance was some sort of defense mechanism so I could eat it without having to think what went into it but today I was exposed to it's real ingredients...it was a sad revelation

I saw the most disgusting stuff in the deli case a while back and then realized it was headcheese. Not only was I thinking the stuff was sick looking, but it was just as much as any other meat in the case. Nasty!

Then the ***UUUUUUUUUUUUGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHH*** set in and I was in disbelief over 32 years of deception. My mom is going to pay.

Liver - in lay mans terms. THE FILTER FOR THE body. So when you eat liver, your essentially eating accumulated toxins.

Kind of like Sausage which I love BTW, but slowly but surely meat is becoming increasingly more disgusting when I think about it.

Sausage - in laymans terms (FISWG - prounounced FIS-E-WIG) or
FRIED INTESTINE STUFFED WITH GARBAGE.
