I was having problems with that, but I wasn't going beyond 10HG for > 10 minutes. My solution was to get a longer tube. I only wanted to continue at 10 hg for 10 minutes, but I quickly discovered that I could go higher for longer without any of that. Now I'm just avoiding the edema. I limit to 10 minutes but i can go to 25 without any problems. I have 3 tubes. I use the longer and girth smaller to achieve my length stretches.
