Time travel can also be done very easily just by looking at the solar system and especially more so the stars and galaxies. One of the most furthest objects you can see, a Quasar is a few billion light years away .... meaning it has took billions of years for that light your looking at, to reach you ... so your actually looking back in time a billion years at a place that was, not was is. So to see it what it is now ,is another billion years from today.

The sun is approx 8 minutes in the past when we receive her light! So when we look at the sun, its looking back in time around 8 minutes! Time travel happens EVERYDAY, even with sound and little things we cant measure as much. Its so minuscule that its many 1 millionths of a second, but still a fraction of time travel.

I am assuming the idea of time travel is that you can realistically be literally standing next to some one SHOUTING at the top of their lungs at you! And you indeed could tune them out to sound like a billion miles away!!

Dr Fred Allan Wolf does a really informative time travel audio-book series. Stephen Hawking says its possible to time travel but you cant change the past, otherwise one would exist in parallel universes. I watched a programme on Discovery Science a few weeks ago on the universe that was going into details on time travel and how maybe in the future it could be done.

Black holes are good to learn from. If a spacecraft could circle the entrance to a black hole without being sucked inside it would notice that after 60 minutes have passed inside the spacecraft that outside the craft away from the inner portions to the black hole time had gone 30 minutes. So its 1/2. If you do the math and go around 10 years in the ship, only 5 years have passed outside.

To actually travel into the future we would have to open the 4th dimension, which they say is time. We live in a 3D world and this 4th dimension isnt seen so often overlooked, what you cant see cannot exist attitude right? well that's wrong and is proven such all the time. Takes around 8 minutes for light from the sun to reach earth so we are looking into the past every time we look at the heavens and in my case as an avid astro-photographer with equipment set-up in various locations I have seen the most distant objects the human eye can see - Quasers - which are BILLIONS of light years away ... I'm looking billions of years into the past when I see them.

Now back to the 4th Dimension. The scientists say that the best way to explain is using a snooker ball which is smooth all over until you look at it close-up under high magnification, like everything it has microscopic holes, lines etc on its surface and with the 4th dimension its said the key will be to figure out how to open these holes - lines that are time itself. Once a device powerful enough can do this than time itself is exposed and voile one could time travel.

Everything in this world is the universe ... the universe is the source of EVERYTHING ... EVERYTHING is from the universe. The big bang was the creation of it all and we as humans have not even scratched the surface of what we could learn .... in 3000 years time imagine what we could know.

Red, you know just like I do we only have indeed scratched the surface. I believe supra-dimensional beings as well as visitors have been helping mankind since we came to be homo-sapiens in our advancement. How else do we explain the FACT that we were once living in CAVES, then practically OVERNIGHT...are building pyramids and other monolithic structures, and understanding astronomy...AND plotting the EXACT locations of planets we could not even see long before telescopes existed?? Many of these structures are even perfectly aligned not only on the same longitude/latitude, but also align with constellations. How else have we advanced in the last 100 years...and then in the last 10 years so rapidly?? Just in the last 10 years alone the medical, technological, and other advances we've made as a race?? Totally impossible with out "inspiration" it makes no logical sense otherwise.

If the "evolutionary record" actually contains any truth to it (and, personally, I'm not fully in agreement with ANY popular theory out there of our origins) then people have been people for what, 150-250 thousand years or so.
Sound good?

And let's say that this curent period of history in which we now live incorporates about....10,000 years or so.
Then conceivably we (human beings) could have risen and fallen, as a species, anywhere up to two dozen times or so.

I'm not fully convinced that this has happened, hell, even more than once.
But it sure as hell is fun to ponder.

Time travel is SO cool! If we could travel at the speed of light then we could jump to the year 3000 instantly. The problem with that is we cannot do it with our spaceships because of the mass of the ship. If we could travel at the speed of light we could get so far away from the planet that we could leave for a day and come back and it could be millions of years later. There is also the idea of a "worm hole" in time travel. Which is the idea that two separate areas of the galaxy are side-by-side ideally and connected through a tunnel. This tunnel is like a secret trap door so that if you were to pass through it we would say have the year 2000 on one side and the year 3000 on the other, we could travel back in forth as slowly as you could walk through your front door and enter and exit time space reality in a simple tunnel. We have not found any "worm holes" yet, but Albert Einstein created the theory and modern science strongly backs it up that they exist in our galaxy.
