Probably everybody knows by now what is a TENS unit, and although it is widely used in the fetish/bondage world, I was wondering if there is any use for them to exercise the phallic apparatus?? Has anybody come across suggested routines or experiences using one of these machines?

I am a geek LOL but I guess that’s obvious. I’m gonna read all about it because I want to find something that helps with nerve damage. It’s not often the case here but occasionally men will complain about nerve damage that we had a way to give them something to heal that it would be awesome. So all geek out on it for a while LOL

As others already explained, the TENS unit tends electric pulses to contract the muscle. It is used as therapy for muscle pain and other things. Some over the counter models are pretty strong. It allows to send different types of electrical pulses like long or short waves for different types of contractions.

It is used in the fetish world more like a torture, although Ive read that you can achieve a hands free orgasm with it.

But my common sense tells me that if this is used in muscles, perhaps could pass the tunica wall and be used for the smooth muscle in the penis....of course we would have to read/experiement what would be the best type of routine for this.

Ohh, TENS! Several posts later with clarification I remember better.
Many years ago I recall one member using it somehow in PE sense, but more so that he placed the pads behind his back, lower back area to my best memory.

I don't know if it were such a good idea to place any pads on balls or penis, although in fetish sense that is done.
In my gut feeling sense I might place some on my lower back as the other member did. Other possible area would be stomach, close to the pubic bone.
That way the effect would be close the PC muscles and so on.

All of this is speculation on my part. I've been interested about TENS in some sense, but haven't yet purchased any kind of machine.
I do see certain potential anyhow!

Well, I dont think there would be any benefit in putting the electrodes in the back of the body. Unless there was some sort of scientific explanation on how electricity could work in the nerves that go from the spinal cord to the penis. But that is not the main purpose of this. The TENS unit works directly on muscles. Just like when you exercise a muscle at the gym. When you curl a dumbbell with your arm for example, the bicep is contracting and therefore exercising. By putting the TENS electrodes in the bicep you can achieve a similar result. The electric pulses will contract the muscle.

Thats why it has caught my attention for the penis. The CC's are composed by smooth muscle.

Some people might logically say that a better result would be to put the electrodes in the anal area where the PC muscle is located, because the PC muscle is what pushes the blood to the penis to make it harder. But that wouldn't have a benefit in terms of growth. Because the pressure achieved in the CC's by contracting the PC muscle alone is not enough to cause tissue expansion.

Perhaps the penis under severe tension like hanging plus strong electrical pulses applied around it could have some sort of benefit on fatiguing tissues and smooth muscle. But Im just theorizing at this point.

And I recall there was something about applying pressure close to the tailbone area for better erection / orgasm.

It's a definitely an area / topic to be explored more.

i have a tens unit and I have put it on balls and penis and it KILLS!!!!!! I have no idea how anyone could ever stand this. I have put it on every body part and the only place that hurts just as much is if you put it on your temples but really it probably hurt a bit more on the penis, just both of areas hurt extremely bad. I'd love to find way to use it without feeling like my penis is being struck by lightning.

Basically this tens unit is a box that has knobs or controls on it to control the units power and how much voltage is used, then coming from the unit are 4 wires which are connected to adhesive pads that are placed on the desired area of the body that you wish to use electric currents on and these electric currents like any electricity stimulates the muscle that its being applied to. So basically if i put the adhesive pads onto my bicep and turn on the electricity it will flex my muscles involuntarily, its quite strange at first to feel this, its so strong that it will cause you to involuntarily move your entire arm or leg or wherever the pads are applied for example if I were to apply the pads to my forearm my hand will form a fist over and over because it contracts the muscles so intensely. But like I said before if put onto the penis (at least the way I did before in the past) It did not flex any muscle anywhere and my penis did nothing except shock the crap out of it, the same current used would feel good to any other area on the rest of the body but on the penis was unbelievable, like being tazed. But for the sake of science I'm going to try this out again lol I'm a bit scared but I'll start at the lowest voltage and try on all areas of the penis.

The Tunica is made up of smooth (involuntary) muscle cells and elastic fibres arranged in roughly spiral layers. The outermost coat, or tunica adventitia, is a tough layer (around 90% density) consisting mainly of collagen fibres that act as a supportive element. Due to the nature of the spiraling tissue we can understand why bundled stretching would affect the tunica so effectively.
