Normally when using a cock ring you will not be fully erect, it will just be minor engorgement.
Lots of people get injured from wearing cock rings over long periods of time, be very careful. I would recommend traction wrapping or an ADS device instead of a cock ring to maximize gains.
You will want to put it on completely erect to keep the pump from the workout. So after training you want to wear for 2-4 hours. This is outlined in the SRT workout.
I have always done two girth sessions a day and in-between that time where a ring to keep pump. If I would use some temp size I would simply jelq to bring it back and keep going.

I will look into that when the time for girth work comes. For now, I want to use the pf in combination with the length master for 6 months and see what type of gains I can make in length.
