I'm testing out 5 p2p applications so that membes here can connect to eachother and share stuff in privacy.
My goal is for a private encrypted network that will work on most OS such as Linux, Windows and Mac.
Here's what I'm testing thus far and your welcome to join me in this and help with it.
Remobo - Private BitTorrent server & client
Waste - Private p2p application for groups
Ants p2p - Similer to Waste
Gigatribe - Very versatile easy to use and manage private p2p. Like browsing your own computer
Comodo Easy VPN - Works via VPN protocol, private and encrypted
Tested Comodo VPN with another member and we were doing alright but encountered some problems on large transfers.
I think this problem can be solved but its new software and has teething troubles so maybe shelve this for now.
Tommorow night around 10pm GMT I'll be in the [words=http://www.mattersofsize.com/join-now.html]MOS[/words] chatroom and will meet anyone interested in setting one of these up and test it.
I cant do it alone.
If you are keen than download the Waste application and read
this to get you in the loop.
Waste is probably the most secure private p2p software around and very fast because of the small nature it has. We would all need to know one anothers IPs and share a generated key to accept eachother into the network, but once done we're great to go.
Used Waste before years ago with good success.
