Our Brother Lightning has passed on ?

My brothers I wanted to let you know that our brother Lightning has passed away. He was a massive part of the family and I am not sure what I’m going to do without him. I asked you all to pray for Lightning that he is resting in Jesus arms. He was in so much pain and suffering over the past two years it was breaking my heart. He has been my best friend for 35 years and I am crushed. So please give me some time to sort things out in my head. I am completely paralyzed right now I don’t know what to think or what to feel I am completely lost. I ask you to pray for me and the brotherhood to get through this.

I will make a thread later letting you know all about Lightning and who he was and what a wonderful man he was. There is so much about him that you do not know that I will make public now.

exactly and God has received a giant, a man that was so incredible! No one truly knows who lightning or should I say Jaz was. He was so much more than what you guys have been presented. I will be writing a short bio on him letting you guys know just how influential he was in every area of the entertainment world. Some of the stories I’m going to tell you will blow your mind. Jaz was my best friend for 35 years And we have been running the brotherhood for 20 years. I want Jaz to look down from heaven and be very happy with how we handle this. Everybody is a mess. Jaz’s wife and I am trying to sort all business which gives little time to grieve. I am very numb. I feel ok and they next minute I am lost. What gave the most encouragement is when I was praying God let me know he is safe with Jesus. This put much of my fears to rest.

not to sound cold but I am always more concerned with someone’s soul and salvation more than their death. Knowing Jaz is saved allows me to move quicker through this process.

I would love so many other brothers to let me know their thoughts so I can read them at his wake. I know Jaz touched everyone’s life so please let me know!

we have such a wonderful family here in the Brotherhood we are ALWAYS there when a brother is in need of support of any kind. It is like a a lions pride coming to the rescue one of there own. We built this brotherhood to be one big family and that is what we are.

Now it is time to honor him and keep this family together. The Brotherhood will push on!

I once scrolled through the dialing directory of my not-very-old phone, and realized that half of the entries were for people who had shuffled off this mortal coil.

Frankly, I think it was damned rude of them, and I hope to point that out to them someday.

I’m jealous my brother! They are in heaven right now and there’s a huge hip-hop block jam going on! Jesus got a couple of awesome men!

He will truly be missed. Both Biz and Jaz were legends in their own rights and will always be remembered by us.

People don’t even know how big of a legend these men are. Jaz was the biggest producer of hip-hop and great peace through the 90s and then the 2000s. He has produced more than 55 records. He has worked with some of the biggest names in hip-hop including mob deep, biggie smalls, Pete rock and CL Smooth, big daddycane, wu-Tang clan, DJ Premier and Gang Starr, She has her own platinum status on most of his records. If you look through the other thread I made you can see some of the records on the wall. Jaz and Biz work together for as long as we have been friends. They both have had their hands in every part of hip-hop on the East Coast like no one else.

The last time we were altogether we were at Biz house and we were working on the Yo Gabba Gabba show designing sneakers and action figures of the likeness of Biz. I hope I can find some of these so I can show you. But if you never saw the Yo Gabba Gabba go check it out, Biz was a giant with these kids.

It’s going to be very tough for me because I have no friends now. They were my two friends and now they’re gone. But God has been so good to me and over the past week I have heard some of the most beautiful wordsHe has ever spoken to me. Jesus Christ is a huge comfort.
