Need some opinions...

Here's the deal...me and my buddy got pulled over about a month ago(him driving)...I admitted to been drinking hoping he wouldn't fuck with my buddy...basically I got a citation for "Possession of alcohol under 21"...the thing is...I wasn't in possession of any alcohol nor did they find any alcohol UNTIL they searched his whip AFTER it was impounded(so the cop can't put that shit on me before he even knew there was some in there...) My court dates in September and I plan on getting this shit dropped or lowered...what do you guys think I should do? I'm thinking I just need to take in a fucking dictionary and read the definition of "possession".

Help is appreciated.

most likely the cop just did that to fuck with you, or he needed to complete his quota of tickets per month. sometimes some cops make shit up and give bogus tickets, to meet the requirements of the number of tickets per month. most likely when you go before the judge he/she will dismiss the case, thats if the cop didnt find any alchohol.....because theres no evidence to back the cop's claim.

Thanks for the help...I was hoping the cop wouldn't even show but mostly likely he will cuz my boy got court the same day(not sure what time) but either way I'ma try my hardest to get it either dropped or lower to a drinking citation or something

Hopefully he just won't show, but if he does, don't get into a he said she said, the judge will almost always take the cops side

youre welcome man. gainstocome is right, dont argue with the cop or the judge. hopefully youll get a decent judge (thats without a god complex), and everythin will be cool. if the judge allows you to speak, then explain your version. but DO NOT argue with the judge. if you get a mean judge (ive gone before some real mean motherfuckers in my time) dont even open your mouth unless he/she asks you a question. if you dont do this, the judge will most likely chew your ass up and make it worst. good luck with the case.
