need help in learning novation launchpad

i was interested in buying a novation launchpad...but i have no idea about making music or anything related to it......so i was wondering if any dj's out here who could tell me where i can learn the basics about making music ?? how to get started on basics of ableton before i buy the launchpad so i can see if i understand it or like using DAW's...
i tried learning ableton from youtube tutorials but they are complicated to understand

The Launchpad is awesome and makes creating beats, loops, samples and cuts a breeze but you will need a sound bank that can be accessed. I think getting the newest version of Reason is the way to go, together they will make you a producer in no time.

i guess i should learn a few things or basics before buying the launchpad...... the sound bank you mean is the the DAW like ableton or fl studio for exapmle.........

Exactly, those DAW programs will work hand in hand with the pad.
