it is just an online community. it is a place for people to sign up, upload photos, create a blog, find friends, etc,etc. www.myspace.com

Best site out there for dating, for the two reasons that it's free and super popular. I've met only one girl from it, a 20 year old model, but it turned out she's kinda conservative on the whole hookup thing so I haven't gotten anywhere with her. I'm workin on another couple girsl at the moment though. Don't waste your time or money with pay sites that have less selection.

On craigslist, they mask your email. You can post naked pics of yourself in the 'casual encounters' section and no one knows who you are. myspace doesn't allow nudity and there's a lot more info on you there. They're both good in different ways.

Hydro> yes, message girls first. I've made plenty of good contacts that way, though many have messaged me first. Get lots of friends so lots of people will check your profile. Just use some tact when you do message them. You won't get much action by writing "yO maa u lookin mad sexiii". Just use the general rules of dating, don't be overly sexual, don't compliment hot chicks on being hot, find something else you like about them or you have in common and talk about that. If they have a blog, read up on that to learn more. They love it if you read that and compliment their writing. Every girl imagines she's an amateur Jane Austen.
