Mos, dld, lightening. . .wtf!!! Help!!!

DETAILS BEFORE I RANT:

-My facebook and [words=http://www.mattersofsize.com/join-now.html]MOS[/words] accounts are NOT connected in any way.
-I was using the Chrome browser but now I'm using Firefox to type this and I don't have this issue.
-I clicked on a PM from Lightening.
-THIS IS FREAKING ME THE FUCK OUT.
-I stay automatically logged in to [words=http://www.mattersofsize.com/join-now.html]MOS[/words].


I visit [words=http://www.mattersofsize.com/join-now.html]MOS[/words] a few minutes ago and everything seems normal. I get a message from Lightening about the Texas Hold'em thing. I click on it to open it and the background refreshes with a picture of one of my facebook friend's photos tiled everywhere.

WTF yo. . .


I immediately change my password on facebook and logout of all devices.

I log out of [words=http://www.mattersofsize.com/join-now.html]MOS[/words] on chrome and the picture is still there. I login on firefox and no problems. . .

Lightening/DLD can you please check my account and make sure nothing funny is going on? I don't click on spam PM's or anything like that so I don't know how this could have happened but I really don't want my friend and family to found out about this. It would be so embarrassing.

In adblock, you can block the facebook applets from loading.

Click on it.
Click "open blockable items".
Find anything from facebook and right click it then click "block this item".
Click the 2nd from bottom circle button (should say "facebook.com or ETC" + "^".
Click also click "restrict to domain".


That will block anything from facebook. Facebook will cease to load.

I thoroughly went through your account and see nothing unusual. Are you sure you didn't hit the Facebook like button on top of our page? I think it could of been a one time fluke. We were doing some thread tagging last night and maybe the system was acting up.
Let us know if you were able to figure it out.

So did I. After that NSA/Snowden scandal, it's better to at least try to protect your privacy.

As for the problem, it looks like a virus to me. Hitting like button wouldn't make this photo appear in this place, right?
So first you should scan your computer. Make sure to have up to date antivirus program. You can also use online scanner.

Look through your Facebook and check your latest activities to see if anything changed. Ex: Likes, friend request, etc. Also I heard that there are hackers that send fake facebook info-update emails. They look legitimate but they gather your info and drop cookies to see where you go. You could have linked your accounts by accident to. Smartphones will do that sometime. Good luck.

I doubt it's a virus, but it's always best to scan your firefox profiles folder (and everything else as well).

It is scary when you see how much information people freely give. I see people posting pictures of the cash they have or jewelry with their location turned on, then they get surprised when they get robbed. The government started the internet and for a good reason, it gives them unlimited access to information they otherwise would not get. I use Facebook strictly to see my Grandchildren and family.

I'm glad I stopped using facebook in 2012. Instagram is also doing same monitoring like facebook.

I'm actually somewhat the same. I like physical things. When I was a child we had, VHS, DVD, audio tapes and CD discs. Nowdays everything is simplified but more complicated at the same time. We are not made to live in this virtual space/internet that the modern world forces us to live in.
