Good or bad idea? I decided to start measuring each day in order to keep myself motivated and also to make sure I'm keeping up the intensity. How often do you guys measure?
Well i have my own technic for measuring my "status" ...what i do is, i have measured the distance from my thumb to my index finger when in a stretched hand position and that gave me an easy 8" ( 20cm ) so i usually do a flaccid stretch and put my thumb at the pubic bone and see where the tip goes, usually it surpasses the index finger by a 1/2 inch so that gages my bpfsl quick and no need for a ruler...result? 8.5 bpfsl and that keeps me happy cause i started with a bpfsl of 7" 3 months ago ehehehe
measuring every day will eventually lead to lack of motivation, its ok for those currently achieving newbie gains. but for the rest of us where gains may take months then a monthly measuring plan is best. imo its better to measure every 3 months and see a large gain than measure every day and become upset because "your not gaining"
I measure during and after real heavy duty stretching/edging sessions. I almost always get temporary gains in stretched flaccid length which keeps me motivated. I also use stretching at different angles to spot temporary gains, especially how far above my belly button I can stretch it. This way, I don't need a measuring device.
