That fight was shit. Manny was injured. He could barely use his right. Floyd could have easily dispatched him with a knockout but is a boring pussy. If Floyd had knocked him out it would have been a huge bonus to boxing making it popular again. Instead he just danced around for 12 rounds which is all boxing is these days. boring. That's why people liked Manny. He NEVER backs down. He makes it interesting. He could only use one arm and he still had floyd running scared for 12 rounds.
the last 3 rounds was not excited, but the first 9 rounds was amazing, Manny was realy good for some rounds and he is one of the best fighters i have seen. Floyd is just a boxing master peace.
I can understand that Manny fans say this fight was not good b/c they are not happy about this result, but boxing is just so much more than a knockout, and lets face it before this fight no one was expecting a knockout.

For $100 in PPV I wanted a real fight, blood, knock downs, etc. I feel ripped off. I was waiting for this fight with as much excitement as the Tyson Holyfield fight, the fight looked more like practice.

I bought it but I'm a big boxing/MMA fan so it was worth my money to me. A millions of people watched that fight and they shouldn't have b/c they aren't that type of fan of boxing. Mayweather is a marketing genius!! Everyone toons in to see him lose.

To see thouse guys in the same ring was just phenomenal, i am glad that this fight happend. it would have been betrayal to the fans if it had not happand.

Great Boxing match! MW did what he does to every opponent: Make them look like shit! He neutralizes his opponents strengths. MW is the champion ... it's up to the challenger to TAKE the belt from the champion not the other way around. It was up to Manny to use his alleged great footwork to cut off the ring. It was up to Manny to pressure Floyd and take Floyd out of his comfort zone. He didn't do it and don't blame a BS injury b/c Manny did not grimace in pain ONE time due to his shoulder. He was already pumped full of painkillers (he didn't need another injection). If he was feeling pain from a torn rotator cuff, he would not have been able to fight and he would have shown pain ... he can't have it both ways.
Bottom line MW's foot work was better and Manny and his corner had no answers or adjustments for Floyd's jab, footwook, reach and counter right hand. Lastly boxing is scored on 4 critieria:
1. Clean punching
2. EFFECTIVE aggression
3. Ring Generalmanship
4. Defense

I really don't care who won. I just care if its exciting. And MW is boring, but effectively boring. That's not his fault, that's boxing's fault. They need to change the rules so there can't be anymore mayweathers. They don't have to, but if they don't boxing will eventually disappear altogether.
Personally I think they should make it a rule that if you are on the defensive for more than 75% of the round than you've lost the round no matter how many punches you land and how few the opponent lands. Unless you were able to knock down the guy, you've lost the round. Also I think that if you have to grab the other boxer to escape a beating, the judges should count that as 2 punches landed. I think even with those changes Mayweather would have won, but it would have been interesting.
