Lig Pops or Scar Tissue

I've been having some interesting movement coming from the middle portion of the shaft recently. It seems as though I'm having lig pops down the middle of the shaft, and only on one side. The only problem with this is that it runs down the middle portion of the shaft. I've thought about this for a while, and it hurts a bit when it happens but nothing serious, and I think it could actually be scar tissue. I'm not 100% positive on this but it could be scarring from previous heavy duty sessions and as I've backed away from those types of sessions the tissues are softer and now they're breaking loose. Now, I will say that I've had a serious operation and I have an idea of what breaking scar tissue apart is like but I'm still not sure that's what this is but it very well could be. Does anyone know what I'm experiencing with this?

You might have pulled too hard and the ligament has torn away from that part of the shaft. It attaches around that area, might explain why it's sore there?

No it's nothing like that. If that were the case then there wouldn't be any tension at the base of the shaft. I've never been one to have lig pops very often, but this seems a bit different. I'm not having any pain or soreness but there's a quick give and with that there's a bit of a twinge along the shaft and that's it. I think it's similar to A.R.T, which is a deep tissue relief for the muscle fascia, where you are forcing the tissue to move back into natural alignment and in the process you're moving around some light scar tissue. A.R.T can be extremely painful in the first few treatments, but this is nowhere near serious pain.
