sorry to hear that...i got laid off about a month ago...my unemployment just kicked in...they go by how long you worked there and how much you was making...so i am getting about 50 bucks less than when i was working..but i got a lot of free time for classes and other things...it last for about 6 mths i think...good luck on your next step

I got let go from a job right after my son was born. I couldn't believe it. People just don't give a shit anymore. It's disgusting. It was funny, they fired me and one of my supervisors excorted me outside of the building. I went to my car and then I remembered I had left some stuff in the fridge so I went back in. The two supervisors who did the firing loked at me and one said "Did you forget something?" I said, "No, I had to go get me Glock." Needless to say, my buds and I found that hillarious as shit while they did not. They told me I shouldn't joke like that; I said, "what are you gonna do- fire me?"
Dude, I'm sorry to hear about this right here at Christmas. I hope new doors open for you soon. For what it's worth to you, when I got fired was when i decided to go back to school. I went back and finished up undergrad and came to law school. Don't be afraid to make the doors open yourself if you have to. Take care-
