Technology How to attach video?

Wanted to start a thread but at the end I've klicked at the "attache" button, see image) the download bar started to go from 1% till 100% and then it said

"The uploaded file does not have an allowed extension"

It's simply a 10 seconds mp4 file

So the question is not how to attached but: can anyone fix this please?

I had a similar trouble. We have a thread by Lightning members to post videos

• Click MEDIA up at the top of your page, between WHATS NEW and MEMBERS.
• Your taken to a new screen. Locate ADD MEDIA to the far upper right
• Click MoS Gallery
• Upload a file
• Select the file to upload
• Once upload completed add a description and await the alert to tell you its complete

I checked the MoS gallery via Media, and found mine that way.

Then once I clicked on it, scrolled down the page to see the information on sharing the media.
Use one of those codes.

Its best to try and follow the guide Lightning set out, but this above is how I did it.

If stuck, let us know.

And when did all this. How do I insert the file in a "post threat".

The thread has the option of:

1) klik on the 'attach files' button
2) klik on the picture button
3) a 'insert url' button
4) a media url button to choose videos from YouTube twitter etc

You will need to insert the code that your given once its uploaded.

I've find it. But in other words the video can't go directly in the thread? There's only a thumbnail and everyone has to klick on that and they will be directed to another media page right?

Or did I do it wrong again

Arab, see the Camera Icon in the editor window next to the Giphy Icon? Click on that, and select your video there. It will insert your video code into your post.

Yeah with a play button in the middle of the screen. And play it while in the thread not redirecting to the media page. That's what it does now

Well thats the picture button i described above. It tells you to upload an image or put a link.

But the 'attach files' button, is supposed to download the video directly to the thread. But it redirect you to the media page. And there it gives you a link.

You will never notice that beforehand.

Something without a link inserted, that will be more obvious.

I don't know if that's possible just thinking out loud

And how did the video get to the media gallery?

That's why I said,you have to download the video first to the media page. A picture can be attached directly from you mobile gallery to the thread. A video can not be put directly from you mobile to the thread. The video must go to the media page first.

From there there's multiple choices to make to make the video appear on the thread. Bij url or by the camera button where 'embed media' is.

There's a difference in the steps to make between picture and video
