help in posting pictures

I know...I'm a tech dummy, but can someone point me to where the instructions are for posting pictures? I finally have a digital camera and I wanted to post my pictures in member's pics area.

ps I need DETAILED INSTRUCTIONS! It's an age thing, I guess.
