Anywho:
My serious girlfriend of 8 months is going to a birthday party at a hotel on wednesday night with a whole bunch of alcohol and a male stripper.

I might be a little old fashioned, but I would never do anything that would make her feel uneasy. I expect the same in return.

Is it just me, or is this a huge sign of disrespect?

If you want to know ages, we're both 22.

I am on the flip side of this coin. It may be because Im a bit older than the other 2 though or not who knows.(30 yrs old)

To start you are not the only person that would feel that way about your girl going there. Many do, and I definitely have in the past. But as I said on the flip side, she is going with friends. It should be totally innocent and she shouldnt be doing anything that would hurt your feelings. I have noticed when I felt in the past as you feel about her going, it was because I didnt truly trust my girl. Or I didnt trust myself and I could invision what I possibly would do in that situation and then I would get jealous or upset because I would have to assume she would do the same. Bottom line, if you really trust her and really trust yourself in that situation it shouldnt/wouldnt matter, because she wont do anything to jeopardize your relationship.

If your issues with it are religious, then I cant necessarily speak towards that thought process, cyclops would have better advice.

I dont feel it is a sign of disrespect. Especially if she doesnt know that it would hurt your feelings. If she doesnt know it would bother you, she cant be showing disrespect. If she knows it would bother you, then this may be a different story.

Regardless, still discuss it with her.

Let her go man, even if it can be hard. You can openly seen only win from it. If your girl should realy cheat on you, what i am quite certan she won't if you are in a good relation ship, then better now then later. Belive me if she would cheat you now, she will do it someday anyhow. And belive me, you will get your day of return. i promis you to 100% that there will be a day in the future when you will be invited to a batcheler party with stripers or who knows what. But some day something like that will happen, and when that day comes you can say, hey girl, i trusted you so now its your turn to trust me. I felt the same way as you, but i let you go. Now it's my turn.
Belive me even if it hurts at first, it will pay of big side in the future in anyway.
