I just got myself an early Christmas gift last week. If youre a fan of the new Queefer Southerland series "24", youve probably seen this knife. It's made by a company called Microtech out of Vero Beach, Florida. The model is a Halo III. I had a Halo II, which is a similar model with a clip point blade instead of a modified tanto blade like this one a few years ago. This knife opens automatically from the front of the handle when you push the button in ...takes a deep push on the button by the way...it's not a "hair trigger" release. Re-cocks by re pressing the firing button and pulling back on the base of the handle to reveal the charging bar. Very fast knife, very sharp and tough! Solid lock up too.

Fully re-cocked with charging handle all the way out. Yes, the charging handle stays in the knife, it is connected to a pin in the blade.

Charging handle back in place. It is held in place by two spring loaded, ball detents. The spring is strong enough that you would recieve a pretty nasty puncture wound if you held the knife up to a soft fleshy part of your body, but it is not so strong that it will kill someone by placing the knife against them and firing it. It gives a nice kick to the hand when you fire it and will punch through a few sheets or paper. The spring is what they (microtech) call a "continuous propulsion" spring. In other words, it is a spring that is a few inches longer than the handle of the knife and compresses down to about an inch long when the knife is in the ready to fire position. So, if the blade were to hit something on the way out during firing, you would only need to move the offending object out of the way and keep the button depressed or repress the button for the blade to come the rest of the way out. The button acts as both the release and the lock. They call this type of lock a plunger lock, which is one of the strongest types there is. Strong enough that it would have to completely shear off for the lock to fail. That would take a few hundred pounds of pressure.

Sorry that I moved your thread, I mean you´re a Moderator... But I think pics of knife and such a text:

Nothing wrong with any of that. Thanks for the concern. It's up to the individual to know what the laws are in their jurisdiction. Some states allow ownership of auto knives, some dont. Some allow you to purchase them for "collector purposes" but not to carry them in public, and some states allow you to own and carry them in public. Supposedly transport across state lines of auto knives is illegal but, you can order them online....there are many grey areas and loopholes just like many other non auto knife things. There are many knife forums online that can be found by using search engines. I personally think ...as do many ....that the 1958 switchblade laws that were passed out of fear from media hype (similar to some gun control laws) are out dated and should be repealed. I'm talking solely about America though. I dont know what the laws are where you may live.

Ok, I got no problem with that, but there was a post in the porno paradise with that choking movie and a guy loudly protesting because it was removed and so I thought I should move this too so he couldn´t use this thread as an argument too... But maybe I was wrong...
