Display Your Browser Know How Here

I've been having a problem with my browser and I can't for the life of me understand what's wrong.

I usually use Firefox v. 1.5. The newest one. The problem is that my browser will only display text and banners. It will not display backgrounds on any site. So on [words=http://www.mattersofsize.com/join-now.html]MOS[/words] I get blue text on a white background with the [words=http://www.mattersofsize.com/join-now.html]MOS[/words] banners above.

I've tried switching to IE but I had exactly the same problem. Then I tried Seamonkey with no success. I've also installed the latest version of Java.

Next I disabled all of my Add Ons on IE but that made no difference. Now I'm back using Firefox and the only thing that I think it could be is a problem with Java.

In my JavaScript console (accessed through 'Tools') I have got a large list of errors. They include:

'Warning: unrecognized command line flag-installer'

'Expected end of value for property but found '-4px'. Error in parsing value for property 'padding'. Declaration dropped.'

'Unknown property 'ime-made'. Declaration dropped.'

These go on and on and on.

If anyone has any suggestions I'd much appreciate your input.

Ok, now my problems have just got a whole lot worse.

I defragmented my hardrive but to do that I had to free up some space. I went into 'my computer' and went through everything that I thought was redundant and deleted it. Stupid I know.

Anyway so now I've managed to sort out my hardrive so that I have 43% free space. Not only did this not solve my problem with my browser it has also disabled Bitlord.

When I go into the program and try to download something it simply comes up with the torrent and tries to connect but never actually manages it.

It doesn't show an error message of any kind, it just won't connect.

I left it to attempt to connect for 10 minutes but still no luck. So I think that I deleted some file or files that were necessary for Bitlord to run.

AAAAHHHHHH!!!!!!!!

I've tried re installing it with no luck. I've also tried installing other torrent programs and I get the same thing.

As you've probably guessed I'm not exactly knowledgable when it comes to computers. Anyone got any advice?

I was thinking about doing that. I read a description of how to do it somewhere. I see it as a last resort and I'm going to try to find an answer to this before I do that but thanks for the input. It's much appreciated.

Ya know what tho when stupid shit like that happens i have a backup hard drive so go buy one if u dont lol.

I was thinking of buying an external hard drive. I guess now is a good time to do it. rofl

If your running windows you can restore back to original settings I think instead of reformatting. Make sure to back up your files first though.
