Child Support and Abortion

If the women is the one and only person deciding if she gets to keep or kill her baby, and the father does not, is it right for him to be forced to pay for the baby if he does not want it?

Of course the man will never be able to say "Ok kill it Im a bum and dont want it", but I mean why should his sleezy sorry ass be forced to pay? They both make a decision before sex to risk having a baby, but after when the baby is conceived only the women gets a second chance to decide if she wants the baby + responsibilities.

I am not asking for men to have any say in the baby being aborted or not, but they should have a say if they want the responsibilities or not.

I personally believe the choice for a baby/responsiblities should be made once, and that is before sex, and by having sex you accept all the after effects, but by our system's logic the woman gets second choice, should not the man get one too?

personally i think that only when both agree to to not wanting the baby then thats the only case where should abort it.

and both should have to pay for the baby regardless of if they want it or not, if you didn't want it then its your mistake for knocking up/getting knocked up.

I pretty much agree, on a secular/logical level, but being a Christian, I would of course be against abortion anyhow.

But ya, abortion is pretty ridiculous in the numbers just in the USA, its pretty sad how many irresponsible idiots live here.

I agree.

Although...I mean Sephin, it's easy to say what you think or whatever about the dad not really having a fair deal in the child support thing however he should have to pay in my opinion. If the child is born why should the baby grow up with a financial disadvantage in addition to growing up without a father? I think the choice to not raise the child on a father's part anyway is a signifcant element to why there is no choice in the matter of child support when the court is involved. It's sort of a compromise. One parent doesn't want to raise it then the other should contribute in some way.
