I really appreciate that D, i have intrusive thoughts and its constant, its definitely good to speak w someone who knows what the deal is. Ah, yes, the cocktail, i've been on around 7 different anti-depressants this last year (and benzos, but i hate them because im an ex addict so i tend to overuse) and it turns out that unfortunately i am one of the unlucky 30% who are treatment resistant to anti-depressants. I have nothing, i've been using kratom as it atleast mildly calm the physical sensation of the anxiety response, which cams thins down slightly, but nothing great.
So i've currently really started looking into the microbiome, gut flora, hormone/neurotransmitter production, brain inflammation, fatty acids and meat, fasting and neural plasticity, bacteria and epigenetics, and i'm finding some very interesting information.
But one thing i can say is this, i'm in the belief that mental illness in a dysregulation of neural-compound production which cause inflammation in key regions of the brain, that CAN be forced back into production under the right circumstances.
A meat only diet alone, which is the most anti-inflammatory diet, has literally shown to reverse ocd, at least in many anecdotal cases as the funding for research will probably never get there (they dont want people off med$$$)
I have done the carnivore diet long enough to know, as ive only done up to 21 days, and for most people changes in mental health begin around 3 months in (some people find changes in as little as 2-3 weeks, but most people find it takes a few months)
But im really considering giving it a shot... i love steak and meat in general but it get boring, but i will say this, in the 21 days i did the diet, i lost 40 lbs, my hair loss completely stopped, and my skin looked amazing better than ive ever had it, and my inflammation in my shoulder ive had for 12 years disappeared after the second week... its pretty amazing all around.
