Am I Using The Right type of measuring tape for girth?

im wondering, because when i found a flexible tape measurer thing i wanted to know my girth and according to this im 5 inches in girth though i dont feel like i look like it. I can take a measured pic if needed, but look at this pic and tell me if this is the right thing im using.

Oh man thats excellent news then since im using the right one, thanks man for the response. I was always curious what my girth was and now i know what to use. Thanks again man.
