Alternative to Baby Powder

What can i use to improve my grip like baby powder that doesn't make a mess?

I used latex gloves which create an incredible grip, downside is my skin got pretty sore with these, so I just use the good ol' baby powder atm

You might have a mild allergic reaction to latex. Try non-latex gloves?
