Equipment modification Modification to Bathmate HydroXtreme 7 with a pressure gauge

Hi @oldandlively
Just got the parta today and already assembled by your very accurate guide.
Already had the chance to try it and i really liked it. I finally could see my pressure with my Bathmate.

So the black marking is the inHG right?
I wonder why the pointer goes down to minus instead of going up? Is there a way to reverse it? As in the up site you have much more space and you have one whole line for each 1inHG where on the negative site you have each line for 2inHG which is a bit bummer where you can't see where you at in big, but need to really take a good look all the time.

P.s I saw that in 4-5inHG i feel the tense but it's not bad. While at 6inHG i starts to feel a bit on edge.

Yes. Black mark is the inHg.

Is there a way to make it go up towards the positive as it's more BIG, and not down towards the negative ?

No. Positive is air pressure. Negative is vacuum pressure. If you like larger gauges, you can replace the one with only negative or vacuum pressure only. I have both. The gauge is fairly cheap.

@oldandlively is there some component/device you can put in a pneumatic system, where you can adjust the maximum vaccum pressure on a tube/line, and if the vaccum pressure goes over this pre-set value, you will not be able to add more vaccum pressure.

Some kind of release valve. 🤔
Also it needs to be cheep.

I need this bad. I need to force myself to only do maintenance, becouse it do not go so well. I was expanding up to 7 Inch girth again this evening.

I don't think even need to use a pump now. Jelq's seams to be more the enough to keep my penis healthy.

Also good for safty in a water trap, but I do not know what to look for. 🤔

Yes, and it's a very bulky set up. Way too bulky. There's no mini inline version either. The valves you're looking for is digital (as manual is accurate) fluid regulator with bleed valve or a solenoid inline valve. Some comes together as a pump to pull the fluid to a certain pressure and stops, or some has a built in regulator to control the pressure, but these regulators are plugged into the electrical source.

or this type of set up (there is also a liquid version as well):

Unfortunately, there's no compact version, and to have anything automatic with a pressure relief valve, you have to rig the set up with multiple stages. One is the pressure regulator itself, the second is the adjustable relief or bleed valve. I used to set this up for my aquarium with CO2 flow meters and diffusers. It's a living mess.

Thanks! :) Awesome information.
If I had my own workshop, I would create this and create an overbuild system.
Water trap and these switches, Solenoid valves, and all in a "compact" box made of aluminum.
This can be a project for the far far future.
You just have 2 hoses connected to this box. One for the vacuum pump and the other one for the penis cylinder.
The next step is to have an automatic vacuum pump, but that would not be as safe or easy to implement in my opinion.

You can always dream for the perfect solution!
I will stick with the discipline for now. I have removed the valves from my 2.25" and 2.5" Acrylic.
I even was thinking to get a 3" cylinder....😂 but I stopped myself. hahahaha!!!

We may end up with a Hulk penis pump system. Ease up brother, before you exceed the stallion standards and enter into unicorn standards, where a penis made only of dreams and wishes.

The decision is made, I will not use a penis pump as much, and if I do 5 in.Hg is max vacuum pressure, and 2" wide cylinder is the biggest (smallest) I am allowed to use. I will listen to only myself and no other.

Thanks for the talk.

I should think so

I received my bathmate today and I tested it. I wanted to pump to 1 cm below my erection value but it was too painful so I did it to -2.5, which was still painful. As other pumps have a vacuum gauge, I thought to diy a pressure gauge and now I'm finding this. Funnily enough we chose exactly the same type parts :))). I bought the exame same plastic t piece for hoses but I bought the 6mm 1/8 connection variant because I thought of the weight ( saved 'bout 10g :))) ); same 1/8 female thread; and 1/8 vacuum gauge -1-0bar/-30-0inHg because I didn't care about the pressure values. Now looking at my order, I really hope the gauge has glycerin inside. I also thought it was stupid to thread brass on plastic, but it is what it is, I didn't find a better solution.

I felt so smart and original planning my diy project but here I am seeing someone doing exactly the same thing with minimal differences lol. Congrats for the result and the hugely informative information

We're here with the same mindset and same way of thinking. We will find innovating ways to protect ourselves and increase our investment with minimum costs when possible.

Now, you full assemble together, make sure to test where you are based on the negative pressure. I think your penis may still require some preconditioning at lower pressure around -4inHg rather than in the high pressure at -7inHg. With the gauge, you can accurately assess where you truly are. Keep us in the loop.

That is exactly why I decided to mount a vacuum gauge so I can understand what is happening and I won't end up overpumping. Today I stoped when I saw red spots on the gland and I massaged it quickly and (even though I was still below the recommended length). After the 15 minutes I applied a zinc oxide cream

Ah, the infamous high pressure blood spot. GIve yourself a few days for the blood blisters to subside and the skin on the glans (the fascias) to heal and toughen up again. Otherwise, you'll get more blisters or larger blisters.

Funny how I'm sounding like a grandpa warning people. Hahahahaha. I have no problem in taking that role.

I started my journey with a lot a research because I only heard that PE is bullshit mostly everywhere (the thousands of scams didn't help). I saw some people I follow keep recommending the bathmate for (real gains) so I started to read how and why to do it, as well as what not to do. The bloodspots appeared on the glands (while pumping) and maybe because I was fast to act they quickly disappeared. I will see tomorrow if I caused any trauma, but for now all is good.

I believe that PE should be approached with knowledge and not blindly. The rewards are high but the risks when doing things wrong are even higher. That's why I started to collect and filter information and I am happy that many of the things I read elsewhere are confirmed on this forum also. The community is amazing. I am very excited to read what your thoughts on this forum in many threads. Regarding PE, I read studies and I listened to a lot of medical advice from doctors and I am happy to find that the large majority of information on MOS is science based. If it wouldn't be I'd probably wouldn't be doing this. On the other hand, science wouldn't be done without people (pioneers) like DLD and many others. I am grateful to benefit from this after all this work has been done.

I believe that aproaching this journey should be done with a grandpa's wisdom, so any advice or warning should be welcomed. I surely do

Thank you for your kind words for our founder DLD and the fore-brothers that pursued PE in earnest.

Why not do this? Generate yourself a personal routine and progress log page, and we'll assist with your journey. If you need proven steps, scientific and medical base recommendation, we'll all chime in. MOS has been around for ages, and we'll keep on moving forward to help others.
