What's up MOS, hope all is well with everyone!
I started manual stretches about 2 years ago just on the newbie routine only and gained about 1.5 inches in length. For the first 1.5 years of stretching I had no issues with pressure on my head and then once I started pulling a lot harder and adding stretches to my routine like the __________ and footlong stretch I started to get dark spots on and discoloring on my head. I have always used the over hand OK grip with just the index and the thumb. I have no pain from it at all and no blisters, just really dark discoloration at the tip. I took a couple months off to let it subside and the discoloration got a lot better but as soon as I went back into manuals it came right back. Recently I have been gripping well below the head and just been doing expressive stretching with every stretch and it has helped with the pressure a bit, but I still get the same type of discoloration after a session. I either use a theraband or tissue when I stretch so I'm good with that. What is the best grip for manuals that I can do to relive pressure from the head while still getting a solid stretch?
