I think this warrants a special focus upon. The post will be edited and updated as we go to reflect the inquiries.

When selecting a cylinder size, make sure to understand the needs for the setup. At the same time, YOU MUST precondition your penis before going into higher pressure. Do not go crazy from 0inHg to 10inHg because you think you can. You must condition your penis slowly and safely unless you want a broken penis, or at minimal, edemas and injuries.
  1. Water and air, or simply air only usage.
  2. What you're trying to achieve.
  3. What your main focus in the long run, such as girth, ED, or correction of anomolies.
Below is a general table to reference what you may consider in getting to deal with the objectives you're trying to reach.

Focus of pumpingCurrent sizeObjective size (height and in circumference)Cylinder size (height and in circumference)Notes
Erectile Dysfunction (ED)Your current girth and length1in (2.5cm) or less2in taller than your current size and 0.5in (1.27cm) larger than your current circumferenceWhen using water, you need head space for proper pressure buildup. A small amount of buffer space is needed around the penile shaft to provide proper blood flow and expansion. You are trying to promote blood flow through force expansion. You can upgrade your cylinder later on if needed.
Girth gain, but have no issue with achieving normal erection
Your current girth and length
Gaining as much girth as fast as you can.ALWAYS have 2in taller than your ending objective girth and length objective size and at least 1.5in larger than your current size. When pumping, your penis should be force to expand at least 30% your current girth size. The optimal is 50% bigger than the current girth size. Best is close to twice as large without edemas and fluid retention. Always have max erection inside the cylinder during pumping.
Girth gain, but have issue with achieving normal erection due to ED.Your current girth and length
Gaining as much girth as fast as you can, but maintain erectile rigidityALWAYS have 2in taller than your ending objective girth and length goal size, where the first cylinder is 0.5in larger than your current size.

The second cylinder should be 1in larger than your current size. Some just skip 1in larger and go straight to 1.25in instead.

Optional third cylinder should be 1.5in larger than your current size.
This is call "Step Up". To prevent sudden drop on penile rigidity or erection quality due to extreme fatigue because you over work your penis from pumping, you may want to step up the pumping one size at a time. Why? You're using the cylinder wall to maintain the expansion from going out of control, causing your corpa cavernosa and spongiosum (your blood chambers) from weakening too fast. This is perfect for sexual plays after pumping.
Length gain through pumping, but also focus a bit on girthYour current girth and lengthGaining as much length as fast as you can.ALWAYS have 2in taller than your ending objective length and objective gain, where the first cylinder is 0.25in larger than your current size.

The second cylinder should be 0.75in to 1in larger than your current size.
You try to restrain expansion and force elongation instead. All blood pressure will force upwards toward your glans. Tissues will break down faster on the latter second half of your penis and force upward growth instead. Lubrication will be needed as the penis will moves up and down quite dramatically under vacuum pressures.

This is not an exhaustive table. It's just a starting point. Do provide more questions and the table will be updated as we go.

Excellent work!

I have a question regarding the cylinder size. I have the 2in 9.25 tube. My gland tends to fill the tube width quickly but the shaft does not. This requires that i use lube on the gland, which is fine, but I get a lot of fluid retention right below the gland. This will last for about 6 to 8 hours. This is after about 20 to 30 minutes pushing up to 10-12 hg max.

Do I need to get a larger tube diameter? At what length do you go to a longer tube? I am about 1.5in from the max on this one once everything is stretched out, but my real EL is 2" away from it.

It looks like I am doing the bottom row on your table. I am just not sure if I should wait until the shaft fills the tube as well, or go ahead and go up a size or two.

I would advise you to get a bigger tube. A shark will only grow as big as the tank. Same thing applies here

This is due to prolong pumping under high pressure without proper slow squash jelq routine to reduce and remove fluid build up. 5 x 5 x 3 is a common moniker used for 5 minutes max in the cylinder regardless of the pressure, 5 minutes focused on jelq techniques to increase internal expansion to displace fluid build up, and 3 sets in total. 15 minutes of pumping is all you need to create sufficient expansion for growth. There are variable routines that may go as long as 30 minutes of total pumping time, but it never forces the penis to be in the cylinder more than 5 minutes at any given time.

This will last for about 6 to 8 hours. This is after about 20 to 30 minutes pushing up to 10-12 hg max.
Fluid buildup will remain there as long as 28 hours. This is why jelq routine is added to the pumping routine. There are variety of jelqs to chose from, such as slow squash jelq (SSJ), c-jqleq, reserve jelq, downward jelq, and many more. Jelqing allows specific pressure to disperse the fluid away from below the skin layer and the lower layers (fascias).

Do I need to get a larger tube diameter?
No. If you still have at least 1in of circumference left, there's no need. Focus on preventing fluid buildup from taking over the remaining space.

At what length do you go to a longer tube?
Always 2in of headspace above your objective length. Let's say your current length is 6in, during pumping, your penis will elongate to 7in minimum. If your objective length is 8in, get a 10in or 11in tall cylinder. This is specifically true when it comes to water pumping.

I am about 1.5in from the max on this one once everything is stretched out, but my real EL is 2" away from it.
If you have that much headspace left, you are still perfectly fine.

It looks like I am doing the bottom row on your table. I am just not sure if I should wait until the shaft fills the tube as well, or go ahead and go up a size or two.
The base of your penis will always be the first to expand the largest. However, that's a combination of loose skin and fluid. This is why we use lubrication at the base to prevent the base from sticking inside the tube. You want a nice uniform penis from the base to the glans. If the erected glans or mid shaft is only half the circumference of the cylinder before pumping, you still have plenty of room before you need to get another cylinder.

For girth you want a larger tube but with length you want a thinner tube
