sorry to hear that...i got laid off about a month ago...my unemployment just kicked in...they go by how long you worked there and how much you was making...so i am getting about 50 bucks less than when i was working..but i got a lot of free time for classes and other things...it last for about 6 mths i think...good luck on your next step

I got let go from a job right after my son was born. I couldn't believe it. People just don't give a shit anymore. It's disgusting. It was funny, they fired me and one of my supervisors excorted me outside of the building. I went to my car and then I remembered I had left some stuff in the fridge so I went back in. The two supervisors who did the firing loked at me and one said "Did you forget something?" I said, "No, I had to go get me Glock." Needless to say, my buds and I found that hillarious as shit while they did not. They told me I shouldn't joke like that; I said, "what are you gonna do- fire me?"

Dude, I'm sorry to hear about this right here at Christmas. I hope new doors open for you soon. For what it's worth to you, when I got fired was when i decided to go back to school. I went back and finished up undergrad and came to law school. Don't be afraid to make the doors open yourself if you have to. Take care-

Yep, this does suck. Second day i am just pissed, angry and frustrated. I know I am not going to even get opportunities until after xmas.

Companies dont' care anymore. People hide behind the corporate structure and don't care when they let you go.

Maybe they like you, You must admit that it is better than being laid off without a bonus.
