Just got my pump, impressions and a few questions

Hello everyone, I'm new here. I'm 28 and decided to try out pumping because even though I was a bit scared by some stories of people getting unlucky, I also read about the potential benefits.

My goals are mainly to imporve my EQ, and hopefully gain a bit of size. For reference, I am about 6.2 inches long fully hard, and 5.6 inches around, but I used to measure myself at about 6.7 and 5.7 a few years ago. I think depression and �naked people movies� addiction did a bit of a number on me. I'm all better now though, and looking to get it back. My guess is that the main reason for this decrease in size is my EQ, because I used to be able to get hard much easier, and maintain it for longer. Now age might have been a factor here, but still, I think I can get some imporvement.

I got the MityVac - Wet and Dry Penis Vacuum Pump System 2'' and tried it yesterday for the first time. For a very quick review, I will say that I'm surprised that it actually felt good. I imagined it being kind of a chore, but I can see having fun with it now. Assembly was very easy and straightforward, and I appriciate the accessories that were included in the package. The gauge seems very safe and accurate also, which was a worry of mine.

Having said that I have some notes on my first pumping session that I'd appreciate some feedback on:

  1. I found it pretty difficult at first to fit inside the cylinder nicely because I'm a bit curved. The head ends up touching the wall and if im not lubricated it feels a bit uncomfortable when it drags there. I think some lube might solve that problem.
  2. This is probably just me being a bit nervous, but I had a bit of a problem getting fully hard. I imagine it's going to get easier as I get more comfortable. I reached about 6'' at most in there and was wondering if it's dangerous or meaningless to do if you're not fully erect.
  3. I am not circumsized, and I used to have a bit of phimosis when I was younger. This is not a problem anymore, but my foreskin is still a bit tight, and when my penis expanded it created a ring around the part where it's tightest that felt like it constricted my penis. Should I be worried about that?
  4. I couldn't get an airtight seal. Again, the lube might help with that, or maybe I should try shaving even closer next time. I didn't like using the ring extension for the base because I felt constricted and I worried a bit, but that didn't make the seal airtight either. Any suggestions other than shaving closer and using lube on this I'd really appreciate.
  5. As far as the position of the cylinder on the pelvis, is it supposed to hug the lower side of the penis in a way that doesn't allow any loose skin from the balls to enter? I tried putting it a but lower, but when the base ends up touching the upper side of my penis it felt a bit uncomfortable.
  6. Is it normal to feel the effect the day after? I'm not in pain or anything, but I do get a sharp feeling every now and then, mainly on my foreskin and head. I shouldnt have hurt myself because I got normal erections today, and I tried to keep the pressure at about 3-3.5 hg. Because I couldnt get it airtight I gave small quick pumps every second to maintain the vacuum. I'm not sure if there's a better way, but I plan on fixing the airtight issue.
  7. I'm planning on following the beginner's plan I read about here, where you only use it every other day, for a couple 10 minute sessions and raise the frequency, duration and intensity as I get more comfortable. Are rest days a good practice in general, or are they optional as you pump more?

Welcome to MOS brother. You need to lubricate the base area of your penis and also, lubricate the area of the pump that compresses against your body. Also, shave off the pubic hairs.

You must go into the pump fully erect as it is the best way to get the highest of expansion. Make sure you don't go passed 5hg inside the pump. In other words, 5hg should be your max pressure at this time.

Concerning your foreskin being tight, I believe the penis skin will expand as you train. Penis skin always expand before the actual gains start coming.

When I put my penis into the pump, I put it a big higher to prevent my balls from joining the party.

Do the Girth program (SRT 5x5x3) routine. I hope you have some cock rings brother?
 
Welcome to the brotherhood. @huge-girth is dead on with making sure you follow a routine, 5x5x3 is absolutely going to be your best option to start and will ensure you dont overdue time under pressure leading to fluid retention or injury. 5 Hg and under should be where you stay until your body tells you that you can handle more. Once you feel you can push the boundaries a bit, start by only going up by increasing 1Hg, meaning if 5 Hg is you max for the next couple months, once you feel ready go up to 6Hg.

You didn't say if you were water or air pumping.

From personal experience, I find water pumping to be the better option with the mityvac. It's a little more setup time and getting used to, but it keeps a consistent pressure throughout the cylinder so you dont get spots of higher and lower pressure throughout the cylinder.

Shaving isnt a must, but you will definitely want to trim back your pubes.

I'd also recommend a warm up session before going straight to pumping to help prime your blood flow and warm up your tissues. My warmup usually consists of OK jelquing in front of a space heater with vaseline for 5 minutes and then alternating between SSJs and OK grip Jelqing.

Leave the vaseline on for lube to pump and just cleanup your hands with a paper towel before starting your routine.

Thank you! I'm happy to be here! I have the rings that came with the package, as well as the ring attachment for the bottom of the cylinder. I tried using them a bit but it felt like my penis was full of blood and any pressure added might hurt, so I didn't use them for long. I can try again if it's not really something to worry about, it's just I read a couple horror stories about ruptured veins and wanted to play it safe.

I will stick to the 5x5x3 for now! Do i need to keep the ring on for the whole workout, or can I take it off between sets?

Thank you! I tried air pumping for the first time, because I wanted to experiment a bit, and the water would have made it a bit difficult. I also wanted to pump while watching �naked people movies� to maintain an erection, because I was pretty nervous as I mentioned. I can try water pumping, I just worry that I won't be fully hard by the time I can start pumping.

You will want to use the rings after completing the 5x5x3 routine. Idea is to retain the blood and expanded state you achieved from your workout for as long as possible after you are done. 1 hour to as long as you can.

Make sure every 5-10minutes max you can either remove the ring and get some blood flow in again, or you can at least kegel and squeeze a few times to get new blood cycling in. Ring should be tight enough to restrict with some flow in and out. The horror stories you have read are likely from brothers who have constricted, meaning used too tight of a ring for too long.

If EQ is one of you main desired outcomes, work on avoiding the naked people movies. Even if it means you cant get quite as hard to start. The main reason you want to be erect to start is that it ensures you have the max amount of pressure internally.

I would say it is better to be 60-70% hard starting because you manually aroused yourself and then you learn to get natural erections, then it is to use the naked people movies and not learn to break from that. Just my 2cents, and I think we all are a little guilty of needing the extra stimuli at times.

Always know that the minimum pressure you must achieve is 3.5inHg. This is the normal erectile internal pressure. Working on EQ, you must progressively increase the pressure little by little to promote blood flow. Injuries occur for those who go too fast, too hard, and too mindlessly due to desperation. Take it slow. Get used to the pressures starting low. At the same time, create detailed logs. You can do that under our member's Progress and Routine sub forum. This allows us to monitor and provide questions and answers specifically for you.

If you still have questions, stop here, create the new log under the Progress and Routine for yourself, and ask as many questions as you like to gain clarification. This is your manhood you are working on.
