Just want to say.
I have a DHCP IP adress from my internet provider. This means that sometimes my internet provider changes my IP adress, since I have not payed for a static IP adress.

This is standard for consumers in Sweden. The only people that got static IP adresses are businesses, municipality and others. It costs extra to have a fixed/static IP adress.
And if you don't need it, there is no reason to get a static IP adress, and pay extra for that.

The reason I'm saying this, is due to the fact that I know moderators have blocked people with multiple accounts before here at MOS.

I'm stating this:
If someone got an IP-adress I previously have been using that's not me.
I only have one account.

I'm writing this because I do not want to get banned due to this DHCP based IP adress I have. I'm really scared this will happen due to this.

If I need to get a static/fixed IP adress you need to tell me? But that will get more expensive for me.

Kind regards @squirt_inducer_man

@hugh-girth, can you get back do me regarding this?

No you are fine just yhe way you are

I've seen a few people using the same IP address and they all join the forum on the same day or few days apart. When I see those accounts, I ban them because they all signed up with the same IP on the sameday.

Now that you have addressed this, if I see any nearly registered member using same IP address with you, I will surely inform you about it.

Okey.
Yeah! This is the problem when you have a dynamic adress. I'm thinking of getting a personal static adress for this reason. But that's more expenisve.

Those people you banned could just have had a DHCP ip adress like the majority of people in the world. And there where no risk of malicious behavior from the people that created those account.

It was Threak-X that made me started banning people with same IP. Threak is the one who deleted everything from the forum. I found out that he was using same IP as Diablo, and two of his other old accounts.

I understand completely. If two people register with the same ip the same day it can be a red flag.

There are many like that. They register on the same day or few days apart.
That's strange It should not be many.
Mostly you are stuck with your ip adress for a while, and just from time to time it change.

My ip adress changes more often then I thought (since it's DHCP). I thought it would be more seldom but that's not the case. It have changed a couple of times this morning.

What can I do to help?

There is nothing to do. I'm just stating facts.
As you said before, I'm good with the setup I have, no need to buy a static ip.

But this can be one reason that multiple users, login/create an account with the same ip adress.
