Hanging and girth

I just started hanging using the stealth stretcher kit from MOS. Is hanging only for length? Or can you also gain girth?

I am using 6 lbs and have no issues with going for over 3 hours is it a must to take breaks? Also I hate jelq and any manual PE so using the silistretcher and hanging with vacuum is top choice.
 
You'll probably see some girth gains around the base from hanging, although its mainly a length exercise. Its good to take breaks every hour or so and recirculate and make sure to wrap the head well to avoid blistering with vacuum devices
 
If you don't want to manual get a bathmate to help with girth.

there is no routine out there that can beat the 5×5×3 using the Bathmate or Mityvac!
