Times are changing fast and it has been time for a change here for a long time. As some of you may have noticed, we’ve been re-vamping the forums here for the last few months to try to keep up with the latest features users are use to.
First, we upgraded from the older vBulletin 4 software we have been using for many years to the newest vBulletin 5 software. Throughout countless hours of fixing bugs, broken links, mods created with the previous version of vBulletin 4, etc, we first decided to stick with vBulletin even though many people said the new version still had bugs. After we upgraded to the latest vBulletin 5 version, we spent more countless hours working out allot more bugs to only learn vBulletin5 support system was very buggy and very slow with responses and our forums were exceptionally slow most of the time.
vBulletin had no intentions on doing much more to their forum software, so lots of newer modern features that are being used today at other sites were not available to us. We decided to finally make the really big move and switch our huge 25gb database over to a whole new forum platform
. It took many days to get the database in order to do the migration and many more weeks to tweak the settings but we have finally come to a place with a whole new fresh modern platform that DLD & Myself are excited about unlike we have ever been in our lives. 
Some of the veteran members here may need some time to get adjusted with the new platform but it isn’t much different than vBulletin as far as how to perform things. The new guys should be pretty fluent with all the features and feel we now have.
So whats the big deal about this new change?
First off the Speed
The new forum runs extremely fast and is almost instant when you click to a page unlike vBulletin that would bog down and take a few seconds to open a page. Today everyone is all about getting info as fast as possible, and it doesn’t get faster than this as far as forums go.
The New Advanced Search Engine
The new advanced search engine here is absolutely incredible and is the same that is used by Amazon and eBay. This was an big issue with vBulletin before, the search never performed properly and results never came up as intended no matter what search software we installed.
The Fluidness and Responsiveness of the forums
This new forum is now so smooth and responsive on any media Desktop, Laptop, Tablets, Smart Phones, etc. The forum detects which platform you ar,e browsing with and transparently responds to it.
Many New Features for Users
We now have so many options here and we will be posting a detailed Q&A thread here about what is available to you. Things like easy ways to jump right to threads and post to threads from main page. Giphys, new smilies and so many user browsing and posting options to seamlessly post questions, pictures, video, etc.
Stability
This new platform is super stable and has so many features that seamlessly work with you.
Easy on the Eyes
This new style was designed to be easier to read and be cleaner than anything we ever used.
We will update this thread as we add and enable new features.
