can anybody help me if they have a macbook? it says i need to download quicktime leopard but then i go to install it and it wont replace the current existing one.. does anyone know a way around this probem?

What macbook do you have and what system are you running?
 
i have the average macbook, just checked online "2.4GHz : 250GB" $1,200 one.

and i'm running "quicktime x"

it says: "Quicktime can't be installed on this disk. This version of Quicktime 7 can't be installed on this disk because quicktime X is already present. Please use software update to install the appropriate version of quicktime for your mac.

I did try the software installation but there were no quicktime updates..

You do know that the real version of Quicktime you will need to pay for it but it really is not worth it. Standard QT is just fine. Are you saying that QT does not work at all?
 
oh.. how annoying, on apple website it offers the free download for qt leopart, whatever that is. and yea, when i go to play one of the instructional videos on the members page it tells me my quicktime is outdated. so i've tried to download and update but neither seemed to work. the streaming ones work though
