Threaded Rods for Extender

Does anyone know if a hardware store would carry the threaded rods used for the vac-extender, or any other [words=https://shop.mattersofsize.com/products/sizegenetics-penis-extender]extender[/words]? I'm looking for 12" long threaded rods and I'm not sure where to start looking. I'm pretty sure that this sort of rod has to be cut to the required measurement. Does anyone know where to find this?
